London borough of Hammersmith & Fulham went through a massive revamp with its digital platform. I have been part of the team which helped the council to plan and deliver a brand new portal under a single visual identity.
My role as UI designer in the project was to make the core as well as the third parties sections of the council's website look uniform. The main challenge as designer was to make sure every part of the website looked as part of the same user interface.
In terms of development, the site had to adhere to strict cross-browser specification (at the time had to work on IE9) so the style I went for was pretty simple and basic to replicate even in outdated browsers.
